As part of the Housing Solutions Lab project, homeowners, service providers, researchers and community members came together in three workshops to identify the specific needs for a program prototype. Participants discussed and shared their perspectives on potentially building a laneway house, secondary suite or joining a home share program.
“We have to find a way to stay because we LOVE North Vancouver, but it is getting so expensive. We are thinking of developing the property. I have to find a solution. I can’t control if my kids move away, but it’s a larger problem than just that,” says a North Shore homeowner.
