Angela is the Program Coordinator and Communications Specialist for the Renewable Cities program at the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. She leads the delivery of public events and communications activities, supports the team’s special events and projects, and is responsible for the development of Renewable Cities’ volunteer program.
She joined the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in March 2015 as the Program Assistant for both Renewable Cities and Carbon Talks. Angela has also worked with SFU Public Square as the Events and Volunteer Coordinator for Re-Imagine Downtown Vancouver, an award-winning public engagement initiative.
Angela brings many years of experience in delivering quality event experiences, managing projects, and conducting meaningful communications in the environmental sector. Prior to joining Renewable Cities, Angela worked in BC’s recycling industry where she advocated for zero waste, engaged the community in waste reduction practices, and explored low-carbon solutions through the circular economy.
Angela holds a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
